Positives from the season?
Week on after the semi final disappointment time to think about the positives from 2023-2024 season.
Well I would say not having any away games postponed due to weather was a positive as it meant no wasted journey time.

Re: Positives from the season?
There are plenty of positives - 86 points, 91 league goals, reasonable cup runs for for a start.
Ask me again nearer to the start of next season and I'll probably be more appreciative.

I think we are now a trusted club for EFL/EPL clubs to send players to and help develop short term benefitting us (& them) , GOD from Oxford and Keeley from Spurs being the examples, don't think this was necessarily the case previously so as and when we are in need of a quality loan signing I think BFC has now become a good option for higher clubs to send talented players to going forward thanks to the stability DB and Co has given us.

And the facilities as an added factor, although they were here before DB..PurleyBee wrote: ↑04 May 2024, 18:07 I think we are now a trusted club for EFL/EPL clubs to send players to and help develop short term benefitting us (& them) , GOD from Oxford and Keeley from Spurs being the examples, don't think this was necessarily the case previously so as and when we are in need of a quality loan signing I think BFC has now become a good option for higher clubs to send talented players to going forward thanks to the stability DB and Co has given us.

zero red cards in a whole league season is a remarkable achievement.

The surprise possible return to Barnet announcement, and since that the Bring Barnet Back campaign. Our fans have been amazing how all different groups have come together.

Southend players couldn't afford the fines for bookings early in the season!!
Re: Positives from the season?
We handed out a few thrashings this season. When our team clicks going forward, there's no stopping us.
These past 2 seasons have made me look forward to matchdays once again. I'm now waking up expecting a good result, as opposed to dreading what might happen, and are we going to feel embarrassed walking into work Monday morning.
Last week was an exception, but fortunately for me I'm in a 2 week gap between starting a new job, so didn't have to do the walk of shame into the office!!!
We improved on the previous season, and if we get things right, we can take that next step. Make use of the break, enjoy the Euros and come back hungry in August

Barnet showing all the flair of Rupert-the-Bears trousers, but lots more style!

The ever improving Calum Stead from back up to undroppable in the space of a couple of months. Hopefully kicks on next season.
