Hahaha, that brings me back to my childhood. When I was about 10, my friends and I used to go out during the summer holidays using a Red Bus Rover ticket. It was about 30p in the mid 70s and allowed you to use as many buses as you liked for the day. We ended up south of the river, which was further than we'd ever gone before, heading back towards the right side of London, another group of lads came on board, and as the bus neared Westminster Bridge, they all said, quick get off, that's North London over there. We all watched them depart, feeling like we'd really achieved something that day!
