Value for money
Re: Value for money
Unfortunately I've been thinking Exeter have been a good price all week. I do wonder why they are so much longer than Stockport & Wycombe (especially the later who are flying but I suppose may make big changes).
Re: Value for money
Just one win and three defeats for the Bees in the last four games, 13 goals conceded in the process, so it is perhaps not surprising that punters are somewhat loathe to invest their hard-earned cash on another home win against 5th places Oldham Athletic.
We are still (just) odds on but very much on the drift in the betting markets.
Bees win 4/5
Oldham win 16/5
Draw 11/4
A confidence-boosting clean sheet is what is needed but, honestly, can you see that happening?
I can see many Oldham fans licking their lips at the 16/5. It is tempting!
I shall delay my bet for as long as possible, an in-play bet very likely.
Good luck all.

Re: Value for money
Prior to our 2 1 win last January our previous six games against Dagenham had finished in dreadful, depressing defeats.
Was that win the start of a run of wins for the Bees? We will find out on Saturday.
Personally, I will be happy with just two more wins against the Daggers as next season we will hopefully be in a higher division.
We are actually favourites to win and, with the odds being in positive territory, I will stake my investment with optimism of a reasonable return.
Daggers win 21/10
Bees win 23/20
Draw 21/10
We were the better team last week against Oldham and needed just one of those gilt-edged chances to have gone in and we would have got the three points.
I hope Mr Brennan has used both carrot and stick post-Oldham. We can beat Dagenham, we need to beat Dagenham and, with belief and good encouragement from us fans, we should beat them.
Good luck all.

Re: Value for money
It’s interesting to compare Woking’s away record against our home record.
Woking Away….P 9…W 1…D 3…L 5…F 9….A 13…Pts 6
Barnet Home….P 9…W 8…D 1…L 0…F22…A 5…. Pts 24
Looking at those numbers you can perfectly understand these best odds for our game on Saturday.
Bees win 3/10
Woking win 17/2
Draw 17/4
Odds of 3/10 do not interest me in the slightest so I will maybe do an in-game bet if the odds improve (which they will if Woking do a Dagenham and score in the first minute).
With odds of 17/2 on the Away Win it is totally understandable if punters had a small wager on the surprise result.
Stranger things have happened!
Good luck all.

Maths not your strong point Hoppy? 8 wins and a draw = 25 points!!hoppy wrote: ↑21 Nov 2024, 17:15 It’s interesting to compare Woking’s away record against our home record.

We had one point deducted for Mr Brennan’s rants.

Re: Value for money
Two long trips for our heroes, Yeovil on Wednesday and Hartlepool on Saturday. I would expect very little (if any) training between the two matches.
Can we earn six points from these two tricky matches?
I am more hopeful that we can win at Yeovil. If we can win that game I will be more than happy to come back with a point from the Monkey Hangers.
Odds for the Yeovil game show us as favourites, indeed we are now odds-on and strengthening all the time.
Yeovil win 3/1
Bees win 9/10
Draw 11/4
I shall back the Bees albeit not with 100% confidence.
Meantime there are several NL games tonight. I like the look of Maidenhead to win at Braintree. A decent price of 19/5 is tempting.
Good luck all.

Re: Value for money
Thank you to the Bees for the win on Wednesday. Not a big financial coup but a win is a win and very welcome too with Xmas fast approaching.
I was too late to make a killing on the Braintree v Maidenhead game, the early goal changed the odds and I changed my mind. Silly Hoppy!
Similar to Wednesday I will back the Bees to beat Hartlepool but without great confidence. It seems that so often we have a good first half then it’s all change in the second half. I would love to be a fly on the wall in the Bees dressing room at half time!
Hartlepool win 14/5
Bees win 10/11
Draw 3/1
I won’t be making the long trek up to Hartlepool, I might pop along to see Torquay win at Enfield Town. Safe journey to all Bees travelling north.
Good luck all.

Bees on the drift!!
6/4 on a Bees win now.
That’s a big turn around.
Why???

That is a bit ominous. Maybe lots of money suddenly piling on Hartlepool? Or do the bookies know something we don’t…hoppy wrote:Bees on the drift!!

They’ve lost one in 8, home advantage, long travel for us, we played Wednesday etcBeesKnees99 wrote: ↑30 Nov 2024, 11:44That is a bit ominous. Maybe lots of money suddenly piling on Hartlepool? Or do the bookies know something we don’t…hoppy wrote:Bees on the drift!!

Re: Value for money
Barnet, FGR and York City are all 8/1 joint favourites to lift the FA Trophy. If you fancy one of those then contact Bet Victor.
If we are to progress in this competition we need to beat Aveley first.
The bookies are really confident that we will do that with some ludicrous odds.
Bees win 2/9 (only one bookie offering those “generous” odds, most are showing 1/9 or 1/10).
Aveley win 16/1
Draw 7/1
So, all we have to do is turn up on Saturday.
Let’s see.
Good luck all.

Re: Value for money
Well, we may not be top of the National League (yet) but we are the bookies favourites to finish in pole position come next May.
Bees 2/1
FGR 9/4
York City 3/1
Oldham 10/1
There’s still a long way to go but if we can win on Saturday it will keep the pressure on the other clubs currently in the mix.
You won’t get rich backing the Bees for the home win, similar odds as per the Aveley game.
Bees win 2/11
Ebbsfleet win 16/1 (yes, sixteen)
Draw 6/1
I will back the Bees but will probably include the bet in a double or treble to boost the odds.
Good luck all.
