People are billing Tuesday’s game against York City as the “Big One”. Yes, it’s important, but so are our remaining 13 games. There’s a long way to go. A win would be fabulous, a draw not the end of the world and, should we lose, there are still 39 points to play

Rochdale sit 9th in the NL but with games in hand on the clubs above them. Recent form is a bit patchy, they are 17th in the Form Table (last six games).
The Bees, as we all know, are top of both NL table and the Form Table.

A rarity from the bookies….odds against the Bees.

Rochdale win 21/10
Bees win 6/5
Draw 13/5

After Tuesday’s massacre of York who wouldn’t take the 6/5. Money for old rope.

Good luck all.

Despite our trouncing of Rochdale last week the bookies are offering reasonably generous odds for a Bees win at Oldham on Saturday…..6/4 is tempting.

Oldham win 19/10
Bees win 6/4
Draw 11/5

A draw would not be the end of the world, but given that we could not beat them at The Hive I think our boys will be looking to put that right. Maybe a small wager on Lee Ndlovu at 6/1 to be the first goal scorer methinks.

I couldn’t get to Rochdale last week so I am really looking forward to this one. There will be three generations of Hoppys cheering the Bees on.

Good luck all.

A quick glance at Barnet’s home form tells you all you need to know about the bookies odds for our game against Yeovil on Tuesday.

P17 W14 D3 L0 F43 A12 Pts45

Hence…

Bees win 4/9
Yeovil win 13/2
Draw 10/3

I am fully expecting the home win.

Good luck all.

If you think Dagenham will win on Saturday you could end up very much richer.
Or, then again, you might end up in a lunatic asylum.

Bees win 3/10
Daggers win 12/1
Draw 17/4

Surely only one result. Mr Brennan will do what he does best and the team will do what it does best. And we all know what happens next, don’t we?

Blimey….am I being optimistic? Surely not!!

Good luck all.

12/1 for a team in our own league is absolutely remarkable. Just shows how far we’ve come.

Under-estimate Woking at your peril.
Only 1 defeat in their last 12 games.
However, 8 of those games ended in a draw with only 3 wins.

Woking win 5/1
Bees win 4/7
Draw 3/1

I am expecting a tight game with Woking playing much like Dagenham did last week.
We ground out the win in that game. We will need to be much more clinical in our finishing on Saturday to justify those bookies odds.

Good luck all.

The value on Saturday is in the draw. Woking unbeaten in 7 all comps, and unbeaten in 5 at home in the league. Woking or the draw double chance is 6/4 with sky bet.

Barnet. 7/1
Oldham. 10/1
FGR. 11/1
Southend. 11/1
Rochdale. 12/1
Solihull. 12/1
Sutton. 12/1
Dagenham. 12/1
Hartlepool. 12/1
AFC Fylde. 16/1
York. 16/1
Gateshead. 16/1
Halifax. 16/1
Altrincham. 16/1
Yeovil. 16/1
Aldershot. 28/1
Eastleigh. 40/1
Braintree. 40/1
Woking. 40/1
Ebbsfleet. 50/1
Boston. 66/1
Wealdstone. 66/1
Tamworth. 66/1
Maidenhead. 100/1

So the Mighty Bees are favourites! Wow! Who would have thought that three or four years ago? We have come a long way since those dark days. Take a bow Mr Brennan. And a cheeky curtsy from TK.

The odds this year show how open the NL is seen by both bookies and, I guess, the punters too.

In my humble opinion 7/1 is a decent offering given the fact we came 2nd last season and the positivity regarding the many signings we have made.

As for the other clubs I think Aldershot at 28/1 and Eastleigh at 40/1 might be worth an each way flutter. Also Woking at 40/1 is tempting.

It promises to be a very interesting season.

Good luck all.
Just interested going back.

I know under PF we were 20-1 pre-season, does anyone know what we were before MA's title winning season? I assume we were like 7-1 before Barry Fry's title season (wouldn't surprise me if someone here remembers after betting on us).

A mere 8 games to go. The NL title is tantalisingly close but, as Mr Brennan keeps reminding us, there are no easy games in the NL.

Altrincham away is never an easy place to go. There are reports that their pitch is in an awful state, but so was Woking’s and we got a comfortable three points there.
I am confident!

Alty win 7/2
Bees win 8/11
Draw 3/1

We have gone 7 away games without conceding, a club record. Can we go another away game with a clean sheet?
Well….have a look at these prices.

0 0. 14/1
0 1. 15/2
0 2. 8/1
0 3. 13/1
0 4. 25/1

Imagine a 4 0 win and collecting 25 times your stake!

Good luck all.

Given the straight recent form of us and Altrincham 8/11 looks a decent price. Only our recent history in this fixture is giving me any concern.

After today’s win at Alty the odds on Barnet have been somewhat revised.

BetFred offers the best deal at 200/1 ON
There are two bookies actually offering 1000/1 ON

I have never seen odds like this in many years of punting.
