Oo-er! No wonder there’s been no announcements about forthcoming coverage of matches.

How strange as I thought that was the reason for the final games of the season being on the Monday so it could be shown at 3pm for tele?
Guessing there must be a deal with someone in pipeline?

Perhaps there just aren't the viewing figures needed to make covering 5th tier football viable. Probably done very well when the Hollywood cretins from Wales were in.

Re: No TV Deal for the National League for 24/25?
The fees paid out to clubs for having their matches shown on TV are hardly gargantuan and the National League has always had a TV deal since the start of the 2000s, so it can’t be that.

Meanwhile, Sky have agreed a huge deal with the Football League clubs, with five Championship games and five League 1/League 2 games shown each week. And CBS Sports has agreed a four year deal for US TV rights of those three divisions.
Can't see three up, three down happening any time soon.

I've always wondered what the viewing figures must be for your average National League fixture. It must be very low as it appeals to a niche audience.

And yet last season they'd showed a couple of NLS and NLN matches for the first time.

I'd guess the similar to baseball which they show most nights but a bought package rather than their own production.EastBarnetFan wrote: ↑19 Jul 2024, 08:50 I've always wondered what the viewing figures must be for your average National League fixture. Gateshead Vs Yeovil has been moved to 12.30pm.
Signs a deal has been agreed or someone just fancied annoying the Glovers?

Ouch.
Have to say, I was quite looking forward to a season without TV coverage - nothing but a pain in the arse, and they've really gone for it with this rearranged fixture.
EDIT - having checked the Yeovil website, it looks like they requested this change in order to get home earlier to prepare for the bank holiday match happening 2 days later.

No thought for the fans having to travel even earlier though.Anthony wrote: ↑26 Jul 2024, 17:54Ouch.

Sounds to me as though Yeovil couldn't have been expecting their fans to travel.
Google Maps shows journey time by road as 6 hours 24 mins ( probably longer on a Saturday morning than a Friday evening) so even with a 3pm K.O. it would have been a ridiculously early departure.
A journey that far then the awful view that you get at Gateshead as well!

Four Four Two reported this week that TNT were showing NL matches again this season. Could be a lazy error but they should have fact-checked.hoppy wrote: ↑26 Jul 2024, 20:40Dagenham v Halifax which was scheduled for Saturday 24th August is now Friday 23rd August kick off 7.45pm.Anthony wrote: ↑26 Jul 2024, 17:54Ouch.
