Harry Pritchard
The club has just announced that they’ve agreed to mutually terminate Harry Pritchard’s contract due to unspecified ongoing health issues.
Needless to say, Harry’s contribution to the team in the last 2 seasons was immense. He was arguably our best player in 22/23 and he was always the ultimate team man.
Best of luck Pritch and I hope he’s able to overcome whatever he’s dealing with.

Very sad to hear that. Pritch has been a great team player and inspiration. Certainly wish him all the very best with any ongoing issues.

Re: Harry Pritchard
I really hope it's "just" issues with his back and nothing more serious.
16 goals in that 22/23 season from midfield was quite frankly ridiculous.

Part of the intake which includes Nicke, DC, Lawrie and Gorman that brought pride back to the football club and set us on a positive and upward path. Good luck Harry and wish you well!
Re: Harry Pritchard
An absolutely vital part of our renaissance. A do it all central midfielder who covered every blade of grass to defend and attack. I remember looking it up and I think the last central midfielder we had with double figures in successive years was more than 30 years ago. What he did was very very rare.
Plus that goal against Gateshead (1 of 3 including the shoot out) - for a few fleeting minutes one of my best experiences as a fan.

Gutting news. I hope he gets back on his feet. No doubt rent or a mortgage to pay for. Wishing him all the best.

Sad to read he has had to leave us through health issues.
Hopefully nothing to serious and it would be good to see him back in near future with us in a coaching role.

Re: Harry Pritchard
Massive player for us and I'm sorry to see him go. Bumped in to a Bradford fan on the train after Ebbsfleet last season who only had very positive things to say about Pritch. I hope it won't be too long before he is back playing football again.

Sad to hear this. I really liked Pritchard and was hoping he could find a way back into the starting 11. Always gave 100% and knew where the back of the net was. Headers, tap-ins and long range efforts, left foot and right foot - a true all-rounder. One of the best central midfielders I’ve seen in a Barnet shirt and I wish him all the best in his recovery and future endeavours. Thank you Harry!

Pritchard was one of a group of players that actually gave a shit about the club and fans after too many seasons of complete pricks playing for us. Putting aside how good he was as a player he connected with us fans and gave us our club back.

Re: Harry Pritchard
Very true but even apart from that, how awful it is for him. Anybody who says "only back issues" has clearly never suffered. I had back issues 36 years ago, fortunately I haven't suffered since but it consumes your life whilst you do.
All the Best for the future Harry, hope you can put this horrible chapter in your life behind you soon.

Absolute Legend Harry. Always gave 110%. Wishing you all the best in your rehab and that we might see you back one day.
Re: Harry Pritchard
A back injury ruined and eventually ended my Cricket career so i appreciate what you say there and i only played for fun and it wasn't my livelihood! best wishes to Pritch as other have said he was part of a group of players who cared and created a feel good atmosphere around our club again.becbee wrote: ↑24 Aug 2024, 08:50 Very true but even apart from that, how awful it is for him.
