We asked Altrincham to move the game but they refused.

Why should they? They didn't ask for the fixture to be that evening and I doubt we'd have wanted to have moved it had we been the away team.

When we have clashed with previous games at Wembley the traffic issues have been horrendous. Tubes and trains will also be affected.
Best advice is to leave home a bit earlier than usual.

I do blame them. UEFA are hardly going to care about our game, but Alty could have agreed to play it a day after. Many fans like to watch both club and country and this denies both Barnet and Alty fans this opportunity.

I do think international matches every day of the week is crazy though.

Not sure if this was the case but fair play if Altrincham did not wanna inconvience their away fans who might have already booked time off work/ sorted travel arrangments.

Don’t think it was that. We asked them a long time ago.

They are away at Yeovil on the saturday, if we moved to Wednesday it would affect their training/travel schedule etc - more than within their rights to say no to moving the game! Internatonals should be Wednesdays like they used to be if they have to happen during the season!

Agree entirely with Altrincham. The fault lies with arranging a full programme of NL fixtures, several of which are long distances, for an evening when it was already known that England would be playing. Just like they arrange Tuesday night matches to clash with Champions League.

I personally couldn't care less about missing England matches but appreciate that many fans of NL clubs would like to watch both club and country.
