Bees related injustices, grudges and righteous indignation
Bees related injustices, grudges and righteous indignation
Inspired by being sorely vexed by the performance of FA/Etihad Match Officials yesterday, it occurred to me that I am still annoyed with Terry Heilbron and his crooked interpretation of an elbow in the face being a goal kick, then I got furious remembering Richard Beeby and his signed MUFC underpants. So I compiled a small list of people who I am still, quite reasonably, annoyed with to this day for acts of injustice perpetrated against the Bees.
Terry Heilbron
Richard Beeby
Chris Tate -did annoying celebration and had stupid haircut
Bilel Mohsni - did stupid celebration and had annoying haircut (then signed for Barnet and was arse)
Andy Farrell - not getting sent off for kung fu kick on Lee Harrison
Trevor Benjamin - being a carthorse but probably getting a hat trick against us once
Delroy Facey - scoring against Barnet on Championship Manager
Kevin Ellison - being about 68 (and looking like a murderer) but always popping up anytime we travel up North and usually scoring
Walsall FC
Mark Sale & David Gregory - unspecified offences, but I wrote in an old exercise book at the time that they were *very bad people* so were obviously particularly guilty alongside Heilbron. Playing for Colchester will do as a reason.
I'm sure there are several more but I thought this would make a most edifying topic as there's little to complain about in the warm glow of yesterday's performance, so a good opportunity to rake up some old grievances.

Ollie Watkins !
formerly Northampton Bee
Re: Bees related injustices, grudges and righteous indignation
agreed, also Luke Rodgers for diving in 2004 playoff
Re: Bees related injustices, grudges and righteous indignation
That stupid face Beeby did when he couldn't wait to get the card out, boils my pee thinking about it, what a smug ba5tard.

Apart from Beeby, the only person who really annoys me is Josh Walker. OK so he bore a grudge against TK but that was nothing to do with us fans. His behaviour when he scored the injury time winner - 5-4 - for D&R in front of us. He should have been celebrating with D&R fans, not rubbing our noses in it.

The ref who declined to give us a stonewall penalty very late in the playoff game at Colchester. Still bitter. Still waiting for my trip to Wembley.

Yep that was Terry Heilbron that 'boots' mentioned in his original post.magiovinium_bee wrote: ↑01 Sep 2024, 16:11 The ref who declined to give us a stonewall penalty very late in the playoff game at Colchester. Still bitter. Still waiting for my trip to Wembley.
Seem to remember ref Dirkin getting abuse at Brighton on boxing day in 1999, Can't remember why it may have been for giving Brighton a dodgy decision . (Am sure Mr Erroll will know)

Trevor West. "Refereed" the notorious game at Sincil Bank in 1987.
Re: Bees related injustices, grudges and righteous indignation
Phil Stant diving to win a penalty and score it to equalise in our first away game at League level in 1991 at Mansfield. We went onto win 2-1.

Jimmy Quinn for Peterborough.
Barnet showing all the flair of Rupert-the-Bears trousers, but lots more style!
