Sounds from his interview like DB is being prevented from signing a striker, which is an absolute joke if true. Although I suppose TK may be asking why he didn’t sign one with the money available instead of about ten centre-backs. Either way we need one and we need it ASAP.

It’s been a seriously up and down season already. We need to hit form urgently. What is going on here?!

TK would be well within his rights to say: you’ve had all summer and you’ve had some decent money, why didn’t you buy one three months ago?

Considering the number of players we've signed; how many injuries have we got to leave us in the position of being unable to field a full subs bench?

This is what we all said all along.

Looking at the O.S. we have the following players

2 goalkeepers
13 defenders - 1 of whom almost immediately went out on loan. Who is Rohat Matyar who apparently signed 23rd August?
9 midfielders
5 forwards
Total 29 players

Of these, those signed this season

1 goalkeeper
7 defenders
6 midfielders
2 forwards.
Total 16 players

Easy to see where the disparity in signings lays.

Of our 5 forwards, Browne was predicted to be very talented but very injury prone - i.e. a risky signing, Kanu was predicted to move on - so he stayed, probably because he lacks end result and Wilkinson seems to have been signed as one for the future. So we were relying on Kabamba and Stead. Kabamba's early injury is unfortunate but can we really rely on Stead to never get injured, which is what we seem to be doing?

The fault doesn't so much lie with TK as with DB with flooding the squad with 13 defenders when we can only play 4 at a time yet have barely any forwards. But he did similar last season and got lucky.

How many players were too injured to travel and how many just stayed at home because we were staying overnight?

I can't believe this is how the conversation would go. They're both people who know a thing or two about football. I assume there were a couple of targets in the summer that didn't come through. At the end of the interview DB said he knows how to fix it - so hopefully something will happen this week.

Get Barnet.

The latest showing of how a Cockney travelling to the Newcastle area ends up defeated by accurate shots from some moody Geordies.

2 soft goals given away again.
We has the chances although they was not as clear as the chances we missed there last season.

Played some stuff at times but did not take our chances when they came but credit to Gateshead to defended well against us.

Another poor quality post match interview
Can hardly hear what the bloke who is asking Dean the questions, got some creeking noise in background.

Appreciate it done just after the game and they are normally good quality but the last 2 away ones have been poor
