In any case, our man at the ground has given us the benefit of his view...

As always a great read. Thanks.

I thought it was actually a good goal by them rather than poor from us.

We won, (and then lost), the ball in midfield, and they simply played the ball in behind between Grimwood & Owulo, (good ball), and the only bit that wasn't great was that Oluwo seemed to be attracted to the ball and left Amaluzor unmarked, and Rye couldn't get over in time to get a block in, (he almost got there).

Oluwo/Grimwood not really in a position to press ball, (in midfield), to stop ball being played.
Grimwood can't have been expected to have got to ball to tackle/block cross.
Oluwo might have done better to block cross, (but was a very good cross), but should really have been worried about Amaluzor.
Rye not at fault at all as Amaluzor was never his man, (despite the fact he almost blocked the shot).

Surprised in hindsight that Oluwo left JA.

As I'm writing this I'm wondering if Oluwo had passed JA onto Rye and gone to protect near post cross, (which he didn't do well enough), but I didn't see anything to suggest this happened.

Brought a friend along yesterday. He was very entertained and impressed with how we play. It is easy to miss because we are so focused as regular fans on the end result but we are a good watch.

But he’s a human, like of all us and if this forum didn’t contain hypocrisy and generalised, sweeping statements from time to time there would be very little left to read. I’d take this, which I read as being rooted in passion and desire for our club to succeed, over the generic, media friendly interviews you usually see, any day.

Anyway, in all of this, I fear we’re all overlooking the real controversy of last night which is Browne wearing number 8 as a forward :nonono:
2 of the best forwards we have ever had in Dougie Freedman and Mark Carter wore 8 for us as did Ian Wright at Arsenal!!
Hopefully Browne will be remembered in years to come as of 1 the best forwards as well.
I got feeling he willl be.

Maybe the new terrace has given a place for the displaced ghosts and ghouls of the North West terrace to vent their spleens.

They have awoken from their slumber, and they are grumpy.

Lol, wasn't this stand dubbed 'the moon' or something like that?

I was in that stand on Tuesday, didn't hear anything apart from grumbles about the ref, so it must have been a few fans right up by the tunnel barrier that trigged DB.

So apart from the Manager, did anyone in that stand hear the comments and how vociferous was it?

This whole thing feels very overblown to me.

To me it sounded like one lone bloke. It was a bit cringeworthy really. Everyone else was virtually silent the whole game, which isn’t ideal either.

Look forward to the interview when more than one lone man gets on his case!

it was a good goal from Altringham, well worked and at pace, along the slick grass into a dangerous spot. Something we should be doing.
