Brilliant save by the Braintree keeper to deny Browne a goal.

When do we think we’ll have our first game of the season where the phrase “should have scored a few more” doesn’t apply?

Another good performance though, solid all over the pitch and Hayes was very good when he needed to be. Hobson looks like another good option in midfield, and on another day Browne could have had 2, looks a big threat.

Indeed. On the one hand Braintree tested us and were no pushovers. On the other, we could have easily scored 7 with the chances we created.

I’d be inclined to say once you score 7 in a match that phrase doesn’t necessarily apply.

5 out of 5 at home and 3 more goals at fortress Hive is great stuff. The attendance was very disappointing, what were the bar and sweet shop takings like ?

Thought Braintree were a real handful today, Big John at the centre of most of it. Some amazing football between Glover and Brunt they have a real understanding between eachother.

Would like to see Okimo back in at expense of Kenlock...don't rate him at all.

Got my photo with Akinde and my son had a brief chat and shock his shovel like hands good day all round

Solid today, great first half and thought glover was outstanding. Second half they looked better organised and a threat but third goal was well worked. To us that Browne goal looked over the line.

Hayes had a good game too

We definitely could've had 10 :D

In all fairness I'd forgotten about that result when I posted this.

Where's the dislike button?

I know we all see football differently and that is a good thing, but persevering with asking for a low block is basically saying that we need a different manager. Do you want that? DB is never going to stop playing a highline - and, personally, that is fine by me, because without it, we would not win the ball high as often, not control matches as often, and not be as entertaining, or create as many chances as we do currently.

The early pacesetters now starting to slip.

Only a matter of time before we top the table.

What a great season ahead!
