Yes northern line is best. Metropolitan line also out south of Harrow.

If you’re coming into London from Sussex, you could go to Euston and get the fast train to Harrow and Wealdstone, which will only take 10/15 minutes.
The 186 bus will get you from there to Canons Park station in ten minutes.

Yea another route would be train to West hampstead then bus.
But Northern line is best, bus only takes about 5mins (traffic pending) or if weather decent it is walkable from Edgware station. (30min tops depending how fast a walker you are)
