Digital advertising boards ??
What’s happened to these , are they from the same company who provided the previous scoreboards ?
It’s a disgrace we would of won more away games if we had them

I was hoping they'd been quietly shelved. They're the last thing I ever wanted, a complete distraction.

I vaguely remember hearing that they would be in place by October - presumably there's been a slight delay.

I hate them.
Flicking lights, flashing images - not good for those with migraines and i suspect a nightmare for some who live with epilepsy.

When we announced that we had them we also invited businesses to advertise on them. I wonder if no one took the offer up so the club decided not to install them.

Re: Digital advertising boards ??
On the one hand, digital advertising boards do make the place look more 'professional'. Look at the Barnet Brentford FA Cup game highlights, it adds something to the occasion. The club can also increase revenue with tangible positive affects for squad.
The boards could also showcasing ticket offers, memberships, merchandise such as kits, and future fixtures. You see this routinely at top club matches.
On the other hand, they can be distracting and as mentioned, affect individuals for various personal reasons.

they could also be turned off during the match itself
Re: Digital advertising boards ??
Isn't that literally when they are aiming to be used for advertising?

Potentially! Depends on the advertising visuals I guess. It's all subjective.John Hunt wrote: ↑01 Nov 2024, 12:51Or tacky !EastBarnetFan wrote: ↑01 Nov 2024, 12:02 On the one hand, digital advertising boards do make the place look more 'professional'.
Would be cool to see a 'Get your home kit today' ad with an image of the shirt and the CTA being 'visit club shop now'.
