Lies, Damned Lies And Statistics

First since Barry Fry, indeed.

When you say all competitions, is that just league, FA Cup and FA Trophy or does it also include Senior Cup ties?erichitchmo wrote: ↑29 Mar 2025, 21:55In competitive matches, 14 is the club record of consecutive wins. In league matches only, it’s 19 (!!!) This current run of 9 however has only been done five times in club history.EastBarnetBee wrote: ↑29 Mar 2025, 21:19 What’s the record (league/club) for consecutive wins? Thanks.
100th win in all competitions, yes. Not many can say they’ve done that for Barnet.

County Cup games are not classed as competitive first team fixtures, or at least they ceased to be around 1993.
Before then it was common for the first team to play in those matches and in the amateur days they were far more prestigious. Our records count those games as competitive prior to 1993.
We’ve put a more detailed explainer here, if you like!

The national league record is 12 games, set by both Burton Albion and Mansfield. That’s doable!

Re: Lies, Damned Lies And Statistics
Amongst the madness of the last few weeks a few more club records have now been set, and are still ongoing...
Most home league games without defeat in all competitions - 24*. That started from the first game of the season until now. One more game to go to make it a perfectly unbeaten league season at home. Previous record was 22.
Most home league games without defeat in regular league season matches - 28*. Our last home league defeat was to Chesterfield in February 2024. Obviously we're excluding playoff matches here. Previous record was 26.
Enjoy it!

Re: Lies, Damned Lies And Statistics
Barnet have not lost a single home match in all competitions this season (25 games). This is only the second time the club has achieved this, the other season being 1906-1907 (15 games).
It is also our first unbeaten league season at home since 1976-1977 which was 17 games. We’ve never had a fully unbeaten league season at home with as many games as this season (23).
Fortress.

Barnet have finished the league season with 102 points, ten more than any other season in club history. Piss Up.

Re: Lies, Damned Lies And Statistics
The 2024-2025 Barnet team has cemented itself as one of the best, if not the best, teams we have ever seen.
Here are the club records they have set in what has been an unbelievable season. A joy to watch. Savour it.
We may not see the likes of this again for a very long time.

Re: Lies, Damned Lies And Statistics
Not a particularly important statistic, but have we ever had 4 different goalkeepers keep a clean sheet for us in the league in the same season before?
