Nico's Patties were not at the game yesterday. Does this mean another caterer finds cannot be profitable at The Hive?

As for the burger bar - the prices are ludicrously high for the actual product you get. If you charge £9 you have to deliver a premium product.

Your bang average cheeseburger with onions is £6.50 or less at other grounds. If you charge £9 deliver the level of burger you get in The Hive Bar

Glad I tried one recently if that was the last time.

Trouble is everyone wanted chips so big queues even if you only wanted a pattie which was ready.

Was at AFC Dons recently and blown away at their commercial acumen for food, drink and merch.

Really good club shop with free mini museum of their history which seemed to be where everyone met pre game.

Instead of one food service they had loads of independent food trucks (who apparently pay £2-300 per game) meaning a range of different food options (yes the chip van was the busiest). Two big bars that allowed pre ordering for half time - and had those automated beer machines that are cropping up everywhere.

Yeh they get 3-4 times our crowds but it was all scalable, fresh, quick, and far more impressive than their football was

As a diabetic and because i don't trust the availability of food, the service and quality of food at the Hive I find odd kick off times challenging.

Yesterday I ate breakfast at 6am and dinner at 11am from a cafe in Edgware. A 530pm kick off requires some planning too just because the game is being streamed for the invisible channel

Why don't you just take a packed lunch and eat it at the ground pre kick off or at half time?

Assuming we get into the EFL, this situation is going to get worse for you John.

St Albans City get crowds of 2000+ and bring in 3 or 4 premium food vendors who deliver the food you expect for price charged.

Nico Patties Jerk chicken wrap - very thin - no other filling would not be served like that if being done as street food. Football fans should not be short changed to compensate to make ends meet. Serve the same product you would if at a street market

No they don’t and that’s what we did yesterday as I can’t eat fatty / high salt food . This is from website:

‘All ground regulations will be followed in regards to what food and drink may be brought into the stands. Please note that any food or drink externally brought into the ground may be checked by stewards and may be disposed of where required.’

That was my understanding too. I want proper food rather than a packed lunch.

Thanks. I can't run the risk of it being disposed.

Wanted to try Nico's Patties at the Dagenham game. Queued for 10 minutes only to be told there was no chicken or vegetarian options and that I could only get a beef (which I do not eat) patty.

I see plenty of families who bring food/snacks to eat during the game, don't think its a rule which is policed very well (and rightly so).

Back to eating away from The Hive then on Friday, whilst the chips were relatively decent over on the dug out, no burgers, just the sausages. Why is it TK doesn't want money in his pocket and why is it clubs lower down the pyramid can get the matchday experience right whether they're catering for 200 or 2000?

Really? We took food in yesterday, we went to the bag check prior to entry, nothing was said. For years at Underhill we sat behind a little boy who always had food to eat during the match. Is this a T&C at all football stadia because it doesn't seem to be enforced.

What's not "proper food" about a packed lunch? We take a packed lunch with us to most away matches which we eat in the car pre match. It's vastly healthier than burgers and pies.
