Is Shane Maroodza still knocking about (lad who came on at Alty in the trophy), he had a similar haircut at some point.

That was Kyreece Lisbie’s last game for Braintree.
Colchester United have recalled him.

Moved to Braintree in 2012 and have been going there ever since, still go to Barnet when the 2 teams meet. I also had a spell as secretary last season which was a real eye opener, the club relies heavily on volunteers, I didn't even get a free entry to the ground!. The Iron have a small budget and small squad, but Steve Pitt has turned them into a very combatitive side and if we'd played his way all season, could be around the play-offs. My money was on big John to score the winner today, it just had to be him. Some great comments from Bees fans and very honest. Champions is not in doubt for you, good luck back in the EFL next season.
Congratulations again on the win EssexVillaBee. As someone who was secretary at Braintree Town for a spell last season, are you able to fill us in at all on why the transfer of Will Davies to Barnet didn’t happen, despite apparently having been all lined up in the autumn before he ended up going to York instead a few weeks later?

Did York turn his head and essentially nab him from under our noses? Or did we go cold on the deal ourselves?

I ask out of general curiosity and also because if (still an if) we go up we’ll no doubt be looking to strengthen up front and I wonder if he might be a potential signing, in light of his goalscoring form this season and the fact Sutton have had a mediocre campaign. Obviously if the circumstances around that episode left either party with a sour taste that’s less likely, however.

Often the first defeat after a long unbeaten run is immediately followed by another defeat in the next game.

If Wealdstone beat us, then York have two games to play before we next take to the field against Eastleigh. And they'll win both of those games, as well as their other remaining games this season, so there is every possibility that the league table will shortly see us only two points ahead of York.

Suddenly going 14 points clear as we did after the Altrincham game feels like a long time ago.
If if if.
