Regarding Callum Stead. This was mentioned some weeks back. Not sure anyone found the above article?

Generally speaking wouldn’t trust transfer rumours that appear on sites like that, although i’m sticking my neck out to be proven wrong.

That being said, on an Instagram post Ryan Glover posted earlier today, there is a list of injured and available players in the background. Steady appears in the latter, which suggest his omission last night wasn’t fitness related…

If Callum Stead is on his way to a financially shaky Reading or oop north (".....where it's boring and slow..." according to Stanley Bagshaw) I wonder if DB should announce a new striker before the event to ensure that it's not thought to be a panic decision.

But when was this photo taken?

If the list was compiled knowing he was going to be away talking to Reading then surely he'd not have appeared on the available list? Equally if the list was compiled before then, then he could have got injured afterwards?

Or even he could have been fit, not in Reading , but there have arisen a personal reason why he wasn't available?

Too many possible ifs and buts.

As happened with Ndlovu / Kabamba.

Having Googled Stanley Bagshaw, I'd say he is dealing in inaccurate sweeping generalisations.

You’re right of course, far too many uncertainties to try to speculate too much from it, I’m just very much hoping he stays so reading into everything at the moment!

Apparently there are some rumours of Hartlepool Utd buying Jermaine Francis off us.

Last year we picked up Chapman and Glover from the PFA free agents training scheme. Anyone here spring to mind?

I think Mohammed Sangare might be one we're looking at if Deano still wants a hard-hitting midfielder. Big frame, left-footed and can also play centre-back.

Uwakwe a potential wing back option although not had a brilliant time since 22/23 when he made 36 apps for Crewe. London boy and come through Chelsea academy so would fit location wise.

Kazaiah Sterling is from Enfield and played at Potters Bat before moving to America. No idea if he's any good. Not that it has any impact at all, but he played in the recent Baller League and did quite well. (One of the Baller League top scorers has just signed for my local club AFC Rushden & Diamonds so I wouldn't pay much attention to that).

Not sure we will have interest in anyone on that list.

He's hardly played for 2 years, and more importantly he's a lefty and I think we're set on the left. If we sign a WB it's going to be a righty isn't it?

I remember Kane Hemmings scoring against us for Mansfield at The Hive. Bit past it now.

I would certainly take John Swift but we wouldn't be able to afford him. Suspect he will get another Championship club.
