Brilliant in the Manchester pub pre match. Fylde were excellent hosts, made a real fuss of fans and teams allowing us on the pitch then announcing the champions as players came back out after final whistle. All celebrated and shook hands and hugged fans along the perimeter fencing

There’s absolutely no way they had more than 1000 more than us

This team is different class. Incredible - every single one of them. Always giving 110%. What a fantastic bank holiday we’ve had! Does the season have to end? I’m quite enjoying it.

Unbelievable end to a special season. The bond between the players and team is incredible.

For those who were out yesterday afternoon and evening with players and management at the Manchester bar and karaoke bar, what scenes. Tavern Part 2.

Flashman in reverse?

They had no more than 700 scattered around.

Respect to Fylde who, despite being relegated, showed great hospitality and courtesy with guard of honour and letting us on the pitch. Nice ground.

Just watched the highlighted. Was anyone else "confused" at the end of the game. The referee blew and then ran to the sidelines, I thought something had kicked off, and then ran down the tunnel. Classic comment from the commentator, "maybe he has a dinner engagement somewhere"! :D

Ok so there weren't any injury stoppages in the second half ( none that I can recall ) but there were 7 stoppages for substitutions so that should had been 3.5 minutes additional time regardless.

Remember the P.O. match at Shrewsbury in 2004 when the ref blow his whistle during extra time and ran off the pitch, maybe the ref yesterday had the same urgent need?

Think the ref was clearly anticipating an immediate pitch invasion which then failed to materialise as no one in the ground realised the game was over :D

Yes, it was the strangest of blowing for time must admit.
Was that the fourth official running round the pitch with fans when everyone went onto the pitch?
