Salford
The takeover by Neville and Beckham is bound to give them a boost next season. It is possible they will do a Wrexham as they have deep pockets.
Re: Salford
F*ck ‘em ! Couldn’t give a sh1t ! Tho, it will make it sweeter when we beat them twice next season !

We would all love that obviously.

Another plastic club, also propped up by always having cup ties covered by the fawning BBC
Re: Salford
I thought they owned the club already with some of the other players from their era Scholes etc.
Re: Salford
All the original investors have sold their shares to Neville (G) & Beckham.

Re: Salford
Yes, the other 3 have dropped out.
Salford were already pretty heavily backed already, so I’m not sure what material difference this will make.
Re: Salford
None of them ever actually put much of their own money in anyway, it was all Peter Lims money they’ve been pissing up the wall for the last 10 years and now he’s had enough.

Re: Salford
I guess it’s the level of new investment -15-20 million mentioned - with disillusionment with ManU increasing, part of their thinking might be that they can prise supporters away from that?rudebwoyben wrote: ↑09 May 2025, 11:15Yes, the other 3 have dropped out.

There’s always disillusionment with Man Utd increasing!
Re: Salford
I like the fact that Beckham and more so Neville are interested in football at our level more so Neville.
Maybe ego dictated but football ownership.has always been a mixture of ego, folly and massicism (if that is the right word).
Good luck to them. I enjoyed my visit there a few seasons ago with Barnet.
