I've had a reply already....

Thank you for your email, detailing your support for the application to build a new Underhill stadium for Barnet AFC.

As I am a member of the strategic planning committee which will consider this application, I am not able to comment or express any opinion at this stage. But please be assured that I, and the other members of the committee will read and take into concern all the comments that are published or sent to us.

Yours sincerely

Claire Farrier

Councillor, East Finchey ward

Good work Iain and all. Thank you. Email sent to our local mp and i pledge to send them each day as requested. Feels like the 12 days of Christmas and the Barnetisation of the lyrics.

as a Barnet fan living in the wilds of the North but someone whose family marched on Downing Street in support of the cub many years ago, I am emailing daily. Thanks Iain for the links.
By the way when we marched in London our chant was “football united will never be divided” that’s what we need now in our fight to get back to Barnet.

Your comments are noted. I have been contacted by many residents on both sides in recent days.

The arguments will be debated in some detail and hopefully decided upon at the planning meeting.

Best wishes,

Richard (aka Nym) Barnes

Councillor (Labour) for Barnet Vale.

Had another reply today.. .

Thanks for your email, as a member of the Strategic Planning Committee I am obliged to have an open mind on planning applications but I want to assure you that benefits to the local community are an important consideration in any decision, as are encroachment on Green Belt land and interference with existing community activities/natural habitats.

The generic templated replies suggests large volume requests which isn't surprising.

Had an email that the application had been updated so had a look at comments on it again- how have people’s comments been added through June.

Quite depressing as every single comment I clicked on here was an objection? https://publicaccess.barnet.gov.uk/onli ... 7ARJIIF700
