Re: EFL Fixture Release
Not sure this is correct.
I thought the Sky deal was worth approx £300k per club per season for 5 years, (1st year already done) for an EFL2 club?
Then you have approx £677,000 from the EFL and a further £645,000 from the Premier League, (for a combined £1.3M approx).
Add these together and it's up to £1.6M income.
I've seen others suggest that the DAZN deal was worth £100k-£125k per club per season, (but I think that's high), and that's only able to be paid because of the Saudi Surj investment.

EACH WEEKEND 10 LIVE EFL fixtures will be shown, five from the Championship, five from Leagues One and Two.
TIME SLOTS: Five to seven games will be shown on Saturdays at 12.30pm, regular games on Fridays (8pm) and Sundays (12noon/3pm) with additional matches on Thursday and Monday nights (8pm).
The EFL says there will be seven 3pm Championship games each regular Saturday and 19 League One/Two games combined at 3pm on Saturdays.
This means that it is likely that 3 of our games across the season will be moved outside of the 3pm slot for TV purposes. Hopefully they stick to the below dates they have stated they will provide details of any fixture changes:
GAMES UP BEFORE THE END OF SEPTEMBER – TV selections to be confirmed by JULY 3
GAMES UP TO THE THIRD ROUND PROPER OF THE FA CUP (JANUARY 2026) – TV selections to be confirmed by JULY 31
GAMES AFTER THIRD ROUND OF FA CUP THIRD ROUND PROPER TO THE LAST WEEKEND OF FEBRUARY – TV selections to be confirmed by NOVEMBER 7
GAMES FROM MARCH ONWARDS – TV selections will be made on a four-week rollings basis, so for example the first March weekend fixtures will be announced four weeks before, then the next weekend’s a week later etc.
PENULTIMATE WEEKEND GAMES: TV selections will be confirmed three weeks before.
FINAL DAY GAMES: Games kick-off at the same time so fixtures will not be moved with TV details confirmed after all outstanding games have been played.
£1.5million between 24 clubs is £62500 per club. Not a massive amount.
Re: EFL Fixture Release
Don’t think it’s purely TV but total monetary benefit to a club in L2 vs a NL club is roughly 1.4 million. That presumably includes Sky tv deal, academy funding etc

Re: EFL Fixture Release
£1.5M per club is correct, but it's over a 5 year period, the 1st year of which has already passed. So it's effectively £300k per year.
Then we have £677k (EFL) and £645k (Prem) on top of that for a combined £1.6M per year.

Full TV fixtures released until 27th September. https://www.efl.com/news/2025/july/04/s ... confirmed/
Only 1 game of ours moved - Saturday 27th September @ 12.30pm Oldham v Barnet.
I don't actually think we'll see many of our games moved tbh "For each League One and League Two team, at least 16 of the minimum 20 matches broadcast will not be moved."

In the words of Alan Sugar to his fellow Premier League chairman when the first Sky TV deal was negotiated - "Gentleman, it doesn't matter if its £2m or £200m - we will piss it all up the wall in player wages"
Re: EFL Fixture Release
Does anyone know how you access Sky Sports from abroad. We are away the first two Saturdays and have access to Sky Go but not sure if you would be able to access through that app abroad. Probably looking to get Sky to see the games we can't get to
Re: EFL Fixture Release
Decent warning for those who want to go - albeit a very early start - and a good game to televise for those for whom Oldham is rather further than they want to travel.PBBee wrote: ↑04 Jul 2025, 10:29 Full TV fixtures released until 27th September. https://www.efl.com/news/2025/july/04/s ... confirmed/

Think you’ll need a vpn, alternatively ifollow will stream the games for those overseas (probably a tenner a match I’d guess)

You can't watch sky sports+ streams on Go though, you have to use the separate sky sports appBeeArmy22 wrote:Think you’ll need a vpn, alternatively ifollow will stream the games for those overseas (probably a tenner a match I’d guess)

If anyone knows a VPN that will let you watch SkyGo abroad please post below
Ifollow when abroad is your best bet and in UK it will work with Nord VPN

Re: EFL Fixture Release
Accessing Skygo or the Skyports App abroad will not help the 3pm games as they are not streamed on there.
It would be more a case of accessing the international streams (not sure if it's still iFollow but relevent a US firm has rights to all EFL games so hopefully all of our games are streamed somewhere).
EDIT - Looks like it still is iFollow but they just link you to the club's website https://www.efl.com/how-to-watch/ifollow-and-streaming/
So I assume we have to set it back up as a club. We can set up our own service & it says not all clubs offer iFollow here (only 22 signed up last year but presumably offered their own service). I looked at Chesterfield's website as they did not sign up & cannot see any obvious streaming they offered last season. https://efl.streamamg.com/support/solut ... g-ifollow-
Nothing on our site yet but let's wait until end of the month.

Re: EFL Fixture Release
Skygo actually worked for me in Turkey using Surfshark (part of the Nord group) which was a VPN recommended to me by other Barnet fans a while back.
Re: EFL Fixture Release
At least those who are planning to travel have ample notice of this one.PBBee wrote: ↑04 Jul 2025, 10:29 Full TV fixtures released until 27th September. https://www.efl.com/news/2025/july/04/s ... confirmed/

I enjoyed my visit to Oldham last season but now that i have ticked it off so to speak have no desire to trek up there again.
What a second half performance that was. One of my favourite ever Barnet trips. I liked the journey there and back, the area and the game.
The sausage in batter and chips at the Birmigham change over on the way home was a treat! Thanks to Mr Erroll for knowing where to go for that! ( I think it was Oldham away when we went there!)
