Great photo wearebees. Thankyou.
It strikes me that whatever else happens in his playing career he will be able to proudly claim he has laid a glove on the great Lionel Messi!

Remarkably, Byron Harrison is back in the National League, or at least he was last weekend. He’s re-joined Altrincham “on a short term deal, in the face of international absentees and injuries.”

His Wikipedia page reminds of the time Graz's page revealed he was stretched on a rack to improve his height . . . .

Simeon Akinola to Wealdstone, really pleased he’s back in football, had a horrendous few years.

This old Sky Sports article includes the brilliant bit of trivia that we loaned Alan Pardew (and Mark Newson) to Tottenham for their Intertoto Cup campaign in the summer of 1995.

https://www.skysports.com/football/news ... 8-0-defeat

A couple of other sources, including Pardew’s Wikipedia entry, suggest that he moved to Barnet only after his Intertoto adventure. Does anyone know what the correct timeline was? Any other recollections of Barnet’s contribution to this slice of European football history would also be gratefully received!

He did play in the summer of 1995 for Tottenham in that cup. Spurs lost 0-8 to some German 2nd Div team, and I remember thinking that's why he got him! He was decent at Sweeper I thought. His first game was against Hereford, away August 1995.
I think Gerry McMaughan also played for Spurs in that tournament. he was on loan at Underhill for a while.
