Good season at that level for Farnborough last year, should be well there, quite expecting Mel to have them well in the mix next year too.moortownbee wrote: ↑19 May 2023, 12:34 Hampton & Richmond Borough are delighted to announce the signing of Mason Bloomfield.....

Fuad Sule rejects a contract renewal at NI champions Larne to "break into professional football in Great Britain".
Strongly rumoured to be joining St Mirren

I'm sure he could try again in the English league. Would be a step backwards joining tin pot Scottish football

Re: Ex-Bees (2014 update)
Sule was a strange Barnet signing. Waited half a season to get him properly onboard then hardly saw anything of him at a time when we were in deep shite. Was this due to the churn of managers?
Re: Ex-Bees (2014 update)
Had to be because of the managers we tracked him based on a Man city scout recommendation I can't fully remember the story but he came on against Crawley under Mcghee and never saw him again very strange!
Re: Ex-Bees (2014 update)
Unfortunately he was taller when he lay down than when he stood up which didn't help him when the managers in charge of him were Westley, Martin & Stilly.

Re: Ex-Bees (2014 update)
A shame he wasn't given more of a chance at Barnet. I liked what I heard of him and was disappointed we never got to see what he could offer.
Those managers may have seen and known things we didn't, but their preferred selections were hardly inspired choices whilst Sule went on to be a real favourite at Larne (not forgetting that he had already been awarded League of Ireland Young Player of the Year in 2017).
It will be interesting to see how he gets on with his next move.

Also another ex-Bee in the line-up for England U20:
Daniel Oyegoke
Born 2003, came through our youth system, went to Arsenal as a 14 year old in 2017. Then signed for Brentford in 2021. Was on loan this season to MK Dons.
His background story, finding Barnet FC online:

Re: Ex-Bees (2014 update)
Gary Waddock has gon from his post as assistant manager of Cambridge United. He was always a guy you would have thought could've been a decent Barnet manager, but not under the circumstances he did fill in. We've had far worse candidates in the job down the years.

He’s gone up a level!
Re: Ex-Bees (2014 update)
Most midfielders have a goals target for the season. I wonder if he's targeting a number of suspensions?
Barnet showing all the flair of Rupert-the-Bears trousers, but lots more style!

Ian Lawlor departs Dundee and signs for Doncaster Rovers.
