No way on Earth can they have agreed to pay that for him under any circumstances.... Can they? :?:
Sure he has improved a lot since we have him, but if he’s worth £3.5M, Tavares must be nearer £10M! Football is a funny old game, and sometimes doesn’t make sense.

We’d obviously already secured a top 5 place before the Daggers game; I don’t think any of the outfield players from that line-up started the Boreham Wood play-off game 3 or 4 days later

He's had a torrid time at Posh, but I've seen him play a few times since he left us and I don't think he's rubbish.

I don't remember a thing about him either. Had to search his name to believe it.

He probably didn't put these on his CV.

"DB warned Fernandez twice on the sidelines he'll get subbed after getting booked if he carries on with the slow play, needless tricks and late tackles, how he's avoided a red in that first 45 is huge stroke of luck"

"Hook Fernandez at half time. Utter liability."

"Fernandez really hasn't impressed me at all since joining, seems like a significant liability. Probably not one to try and sign permanently in the summer. I posted this about him few games back, just don't see what he brings"

That 3rd quote sounds like something I would write, (although I don't remember writing it).

He came to us in the first playoff season (22/23) as a loanee 21 year old CB to help us out when our trophy run (semis that year) took its toll. I suspect as a favour from Barry Fry after they took EMC. Done ok, but if you recall our last 5 regular games that season were dead rubbers as we could barely move up or down a spot.

Didn’t play against the wood in the playoffs. Vaguely remember a free transfer that following summer being discussed but not taken. To be fair, a 21 year old centre back with barely any first team experience apart from dead rubbers with us wasn’t what we needed then. We weren’t to know he would go on to be a hot prospect.
