As if Chesterfield needed much more help 3 Southend players including Daniel Kanu called up for international duty this weekend!

1 of them is Mauro & his 1st ever call up dor Sao Tome and Principe for their forthcoming World Cup qualifiers against Tunisia and Namibia.

Surely Southend will try & get the game called off as I always thought it was 3 players to do so, however I wonder if the game being on TV may be somehow stopping it?

Poor Mauro! He’s going to have a big shock! My best friend is a professional coach and is from São Tome. He’s told me the footballing infrastructure is terrible there.

Nice holiday destination though according to my sister-in-law!

EMC scores again following his brace on Saturday. You’d think a further step up the ladder isn’t too far away

Leatherhead aren't playing regular football after their pitch was flooded upto the crossbar a couple of weeks ago!

Blimey.
I’m trying to make my mind up as to whether that would make the Crossbar Challenge easier or harder.

Wasn't Tarpey meant to be the next Conference Thierry Henry and then got a nasty injury that stalled his career?

No because we were a league club when we signed him!

He was so so good in his prime. That ACL injury changed everything for him and us

Looked fantastic at Swindon then got the injury v Cambridge! Showed glimpses following season but obviously the knee was still hampering him.
