Really? Wouldn’t get anywhere near our squad now. Looked okay in a terrible team but even then I didn’t think he was all that

My opinion on him falls between you both.
I thought he was good and one of the very few players to come out of that terrible season with any credit but we don’t need him now as our standards are much higher.

I remember once working in an office where we had had a group of ok staff. A manager came from another office and thought they were fantastic because they were so much better than the staff she'd had at her previous office. I suspect it's a case of this with Michael Petrasso. We base our judgement on what we get used to.
Re: Ex-Bees (2014 update)
Wasn't he POTY? I mean I was on the Beespod livestream when he was presented with it so I should know (proudly run by this forum as the club couldn't be arsed for a couple of years).
He has played at far higher levels than Maidstone, and could you imagine that Covid season without him? Bloody hell the team was the worst in most of our lifetimes. And he was a lovely chap. Hope he does amazingly well and we see him next season.

I think injuries have held him back but at full fitness he could do well in National League.
I went to a York United game last year in my Barnet shirt just to see him but he was sadly not fit and nowhere to be seen.

Stand out player that year James, not much competition mind! Not in the class of what we have now correct, however hopefully I'll be seeing him in action next weekend at Steyning, Step 5 vs Step 2, that isn't going to be easy!WillesdenBee wrote: ↑09 Sep 2023, 10:30Really? Anthony Edgar has signed for Ashford United. Edgar played 11 games for the Bees, scoring 1 goal, in the 2012/13 season. His cousin is Jermain Defoe.

I remember him as a PSF as a trialist, best player on the pitch, his wing play was amazing. We gave him a contract and we never again saw any effort from him.
