Thanks to those of you who have bothered to respond, but well ...

It might not be the greatest work of art but it ain’t too bad. I thought people might like a souvenir of such a special season, but only 6 replies from amongst those who are meant to be Barnet’s most die-hard supporters hardly reflects any great interest, so apparently not. So be it, it will do for me at any rate.

Hopefully the club will get around to putting out a proper professionally-produced brochure which everyone can pay for.

Well I certainly like it. Makes me remember the day of each game and all the things I'd done before and after each one.

Actually I was thinking of a way to incorporate the match videos into your excellent writing as a great way to remember the year.

Right, thanks for the renewed encouragement. I won’t bore you with the details but personal circumstances mean that I am rather up and down at the moment. It isn’t really any applause / praise that I’m after, more just the sense that I’m doing something which other people are interested in reading. I fully appreciate that there are plenty of you who have been devoting your time to projects for the forum for far longer than I have.

Where did the inspiration come from? Over the last few months I’ve had my copy of the club’s excellent souvenir brochure for the 90-91 season out on display, to enjoy re-living all the great memories from that year. It was back in pre-internet days, when information was so much harder to come by, so at the time it was an absolute thrill to possess and has been a treasured possession ever since. When it’s so easy nowadays to get all the match facts, plus there are the video highlights too, it didn’t seem necessary to try to replicate the same amount of detail as in that brochure, just give a more outline summary and add in a few photos.

Now that I’m more reassured that there really is life at the other end of my computer I will continue if people wish me to.

PS - the more eagle-eyed amongst you might have spotted that I’ve re-jigged the layout a little for October. To maintain continuity I’ll re-post the first two months at some point.

PPS - not all the photos are perfect quality I know. I’m capturing them from the videos though which aren’t always top notch quality to begin with.
