Re: And another one…Nik Tavares
Is DB abandoning his policy on signing only players who have a strong recent record of avoiding injuries?

Re: Jermaine Francis
Remember him pretty well from pre-season, where he made several appearances. Wasn’t particularly impressed - lots of running but not much end product. Looked then, and now, like he needs to bulk up a bit. But it was perhaps too early for him then and sounds like he has the talent and attitude to do ...

Re: DB to Swindon?
TK’s recent track record of managers is poor, which is really worrying.
If, as seems likely, DB goes, what are our options?
Bassey would be high on my list

Re: Barnet retained list
I’m obviously in the minority, but I can pass on Hartigan. To me, he’s a bit of a luxury player and one-dimensional. By the end — and this was painfully obvious against Solihull — he came to symbolise how slow and predictable our buildup play became. Yes, he’s obviously a lovely passer, but what els...

Re: Maidenhoof (Away) The Sparkes Fly Match Thread
Dean needs to make a definitive decision on Keeley v Walker. Swapping them about helps neither.
Keeley badly at fault for the first today.
Walker has also make mistakes - which goalkeeper doesn’t - but I’d prefer him. All in all, he’s more solid.

Re: Maidenhoof (Away) The Sparkes Fly Match Thread
Can’t believe how bad we have been.
Outfought all over the pitch.
Why hasn’t Dean made any subs, especially with the bench we have? Strange

Re: Maidenhoof (Away) The Sparkes Fly Match Thread
Anyone done the maths to see how many goals we conceded with Walker in goal versus how many with Keeley?
My instinct tells me there’s very little in it.

Re: Woking (Away) The Mansfield Town Match Thread
The kind of game where we needed more energy and bite in midfield... someone like Marvin Armstrong, who instead was man of the match for York.
Not saying he was the long-term answer, but he would have been an awful lot more effective than Maguire-Drew

Fully deserved win.
Special shout-out to Ben Wynter, who was immense and made a number of excellent tackles and blocks.

Re: Chairman's statement
I’m delighted at the prospect of a return home but don’t view the latest statement as particularly positive. Some assumed, me included, that TK would not have made the initial announcement without a good deal of work having already been done behind the scenes. In fact, the update makes clear that th...

Re: Altrincham (a) The Wynter Tour Match Thread
Walker on the pitch at the end of the half remonstrating with the ref, seemed to be saying Keeley was being held for the second. LW then walked off the pitch with his arm over JK’s shoulder.
Classy stuff from LW.
