This is a case where I think it's objectively better for him to stay with us, Swindon have their fair share of off-field issues and finished about 6 places above us in the pyramid last season

You’d hope he realises the grass isn’t always greener as shown by our friend from Ruislip…

Going to be hard for him to turn down a big pay rise and a first ever football league job at a club with huge support and where, from one perspective, the only way is up (their finish last season was their lowest ever since the creation of Division 4 (Lge 2) in 1958). Hope he does though.

It would cost them a lot to pay off his contract - what is it, still another 3 years left?

All our recruitment and retention plans would be up in the air at the worst possible time if this was true. Hoping he shows some loyalty to the chairman who gave him a 3.5 year contract after he was out of a job for 6 months and the supporters who adore him and have 100% bought into him.

If he succeeds with us he can get a much bigger move as proven by Luke Williams

The pay off could be the stumbling block. TK, as we know, is a hard-headed business man who took the risk with DB and put him on a long-term contract. Swindon won’t be the only league club casting an eye over DB. Can Swindon afford the compensation? I bet there are other clubs which can, and TK will know that.

Would be a poor appointment for Swindon. Not a league quality manager - not yet, at least.

I’d like him to have one more season so he can properly finish what he started here, but money talks.

In the event Brennan goes, his successor feels like the most important appointment TK will probably ever make.

He's gone. Damn.

At least it's happened now and not mid season which could really derail things.

Mel Gwinnett in to replace him as the continuation candidate.

If Brennan does go TK should be looking at Andy Whing. An ideal replacement.

I’d be after Kevin Phillips, not realistic at all though

Bassey has to be an option, Gwinnett patchy at Richmond we can do better than that
