Agreed, it is simply common courtesy to let Dean speak to Swindon ( and maybe others), it doesn't mean that he wants to lose him.

There is no such thing as loyalty in football. Money talks and clearly Swindon did not offer DB enough to tempt him away. For the right offer he will be off and who could blame him. At the risk of being piled on, I actually wouldn’t turn my nose up at Luke Garrard. Totally outfoxed Brennan in last season’s eliminator. Since when, we did the Double over BW with an aggregate score of 7-0 and his club finished 21st to our 2nd. If you read the post it refers to the previous season...

Don't think it can be understated the notts county situation, somehow Dean's former friend now arch enemy bagged that job which must irk him still..... so whether it's Swindon or another league job the timing might be perfect in his personal and professional life plus to have a full transfer window...
